Primary fields of research
My research concentrates on political economy, the welfare state, competition and industrial organization. A general theme concerns implications of imperfect information. I have recently worked on the effect of public funding of political parties and the interaction between informative political campaigns and redistributive policies. I have also worked on the effect of increasing consumers' information about prices in non-transparent markets. I have studied implications for collusion and entry in such markets.
