About EPRN
Purpose
The network was established 1 September 2001, and its purpose is to:
- Strengthen the interaction between economic research on economic policy issues and policy advice.
- Heighten the interests in research on applied economic problems, and strengthen the influence of research in economic policy decision making.
- Increase the public interest in economic-political issues, and the interest in studying economics.
Funding for research projects
Researchers affiliated with network research institutions may apply for funding from EPRN.
Research funding is awarded by the board based on the following criteria:
- Projects should generally aim at publication of results in leading international academic journals.
- The projects must have clear policy-relevance.
- Empirical projects – including projects using Danish data – are prioritized.
The board may award funding for projects by non-affiliated researchers provided they satisfy the key criteria mentioned above.
The EPRN board awards research grants twice a year, deadline for applications are 15 May and 15 October.
