Most essential academic contributions: Simon's most important work concerns intergenerational wealth mobility with measurement issues and mapping of intergenerational wealth mobility over the life cycle, among other things.

Current work: Projects regarding intergenerational mobility in a broad sense. In particular, determining the scope of intergenerational mobility in Denmark and the mechanisms driving intergenerational mobility (e.g., inheritance).
